One of the world's wonders
Nov 1, 2018
Victoria Falls is one of the most majestic views I have had in my life. It is only a shame that yet so few have been able to explore it!
This month the New Nordic reasearch team and I were back on the African continent to continue our research for new destinations for our different brands and concepts. This time we went to the home of one of the world's wonders: the Victoria Falls, which we explored from the Zimbabwean side. The town itself is small and charming, with nice restaurants, beautiful hotels, friendly people and a relaxed atmosphere. You can drive through the whole town in a few minutes, ending up in the beautiful gorge crossing to Zambia - often covered in the mist from the majestic water fall.
This is the second time I was here, and I brought our collegues to see the Victoria Falls park. As a Norwegian from the west coast of the country I consider myself having grown up in rain, and laughed slighly when they asked if we wanted rain coats. I take that back now - we got drenched from the water of the falls! But the trip is absolutely worth it because the falls is something unlike anything else in the world.
We had a few busy days in the area viewing potential areas for our landbanks, making plans with our partners and discussing opportnities. The only thing I know for sure is that we need to make sure that this beautiful area is available to more people!
